RANDOM QUOTE
"Before anyone says a thing, all people on the Internet are considered equal. It's a level of equality so pure it creates a tension that's hard to deal with."

  IPLA

I just started working on a website for the Institute of Political
Leadership and Access. The organization essentially trains disabled
individuals to become involved in the political process. Why am I
telling you? Because I'm attempting to test whether or not i can add
images to my blog as email attachments. The previous post (pope pic)
was utilizing html tags of an image already online. Here it goes...

I have accepted an externship at the Washington DC Veteran's Hospital in the Substance Abuse Unit. I think this will be a good learning opportunity for me.

My advice.... NEVER buy a service plan from Best Buy! My computer is in for the 7th time (even though they supposedly have a 3-repair "no lemon" policy). I suppose what's bothering me is not really that they won't fix the computer. Worse than that, is that everyone I talk to passes-the-buck to someone else, sending me in a big circle where nobody will actually take any responsibility. I asked for the store manager, he told me that my problem was a technical one, that he's not a technician, and that it isn't his job. Apparently I'm not the only one to have such problems... many others have problems with Best Buy too.

First off... I would like to quell rumors that I will be running for Pope. After careful consideration, I have determined that I will be in a better position to run in the 2024 Papal Conclave. Thank you to all my supporters.

In other news... Google has just announced that they are rolling out their newest product, the Google Gulp (beta). This latest venture of the internet powerhouse marks the beginning of Google's entrance into the beverage production industry. Google Gulp will be available at least initially, on an invitation-only basis.

Everyone is moving! My sister Caitlin bought a house. My mother is buying a house, and Steph S just moved. Soon Mich will move to Canada :( Bea is moving to England... and I'm stuck at a crossroads. Do I go or do I stay? Life in the ghetto is interesting, but we are investigating other possibilities. Next year, anyway, I will hopefully find an internship that will allow me to get closer to family in MA.

HISTORYFrankPAdams.com started in 1996, just as the internet was catching on in the 'mainstream'. Originally, the site was hosted on the Geocities and Angelfire networks and included personal information as well as some resources for the Deaf community. As the need for Deaf community information grew, the site splintered into a personal site (this one), and a Deaf community portal (DeafSpot.net). Although this site existed long before the coining of the term weblog or "blog", the backward-chronological sequence, dated entries, and narration style is typical of "blogs."

WHO IS FRANK ?That's a complex question. Really, who are any of us? Let's see, I was born in 1978 in Boston/Westwood, MA. Lived there until age 14 when I moved to Reston, VA where I attended high school at South Lakes. I then attended college at EKU in Kentucky. After returning to Hull, MA for a while, I moved to DC to enter the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Gallaudet University.
I also manage DeafSpot.net, have a mother, father, stepfather, 2 sisters, a niece, and a fiance. I suppose 'who i am' is a little different for everyone who knows me.
